Disney has agreed to license a selection of films and television shows to Netflix, expanding the streaming platform’s library with titles including the “Ice Age” movies, “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” and “Will Trent”, the companies said on Friday.

The agreement gives Netflix access to Disney-owned content as the streaming service continues to expand its catalogue through licensing deals. In July, Netflix struck a similar agreement with AMC Global Media to bring “The Walking Dead” series to its platform.

The first two seasons of Disney+ original series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” will be available globally on Netflix from Oct 4 for three months.

All five “Ice Age” films will also stream worldwide on Netflix for three months, ahead of the theatrical release of “Ice Age: Boiling Point” early next year.

The deal also covers a selection of Disney and Pixar films, including “Soul”, “Elio” and “Raya and the Last Dragon”. Those titles will become available globally on Netflix from early 2027, with launch dates and availability varying by region.

Disney said its branded titles will largely remain exclusive to its own streaming platforms and television channels.
