Another three people have died with measles symptoms in Bangladesh over the past 24 hours.
Measles was detected in another 60 people during the period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Two of the latest deaths were reported in the Chattogram Division and another in Dhaka.
According to the health directorate bulletin on Monday, hospital admissions have reached 175,336, of whom 168,142 have recovered and returned home.
The number of deaths with measles symptoms this year has risen to 1,026. Another 102 people have died after testing positive for measles, taking the combined death toll to 1,128.
Dhaka Division recorded the highest number of deaths, at 466, followed by Sylhet with 179, Rajshahi 93, Chattogram 88, Mymensingh 80, Barishal 60, Khulna 44 and Rangpur 16, the Monday bulletin said.
Another 1,296 people arrived at hospitals with symptoms in the past 24 hours, with 1,179 admitted.
Among the new admissions, 383 were in Dhaka, 278 in Chattogram, 150 in Sylhet, 124 in Barishal, 100 in Khulna, 69 in Mymensingh, 27 in Rajshahi and 48 in Rangpur.
The number of people with measles symptoms has reached 197,722, including 21,808 confirmed cases.
The DGHS has tracked measles and symptom-related infections and deaths since Mar 15.
Not everyone with symptoms is tested, whether they seek hospital care or remain outside hospitals.
As a result, the actual number of measles cases cannot be determined. Only information on people arriving at or admitted to hospitals is recorded.
