The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh has participated in the Bangladesh Education Forum 2023 with the aim of fostering closer connections between interested Bangladeshi universities, engineering and medical colleges, and international high-school students in the UAE.
The ULAB presented its various programmes and engaged with interested students during the event held at Crowne Plaza in Dubai on Oct 14-15, the university said in a statement.
The university was represented by Dr. Kazi Anis Ahmed, the vice president of the board of trustees, and Jennifer Hossain, director of international affairs.
The Pan Asian Exhibition and Spiral World Event co-initiated the programme.
Emphasising ULAB's commitment to active learning, Prof Imran Rahman, the vice-chancellor of the university, highlighted their core concept of sustainable development during his virtual participation in the conference.
He said that ULAB students not only have the opportunity to pursue a minor in sustainability but they can also collaborate with research centres dedicated to sustainable development.
Kazi Anis moderated a panel discussion on "The Emergence of Bangladesh as an Education Destination".
