Shamsuddin fastest man in Indo-Bangladesh Games

Shamsuddin Ahmed has become the fastest man in the Indo-Bangladesh Bangla Games as the Bangladeshi athlete clocked 10:8 seconds to finish the 100-metre distance Monday.

Dhaka, Feb 26 (bdnews24.com) - Shamsuddin Ahmed has become the fastest man in the Indo-Bangladesh Bangla Games as the Bangladeshi athlete clocked 10:8 seconds to finish the 100-metre distance Monday.
Besides Shamsuddin, Mahfizur Rahman Mithu grabbed a gold medal in his pet event of 110m hurdles. Mithu also bagged the gold medal in the same event in the SA Games in Sri Lanka last year.
Selim Mia was first in the 1500m race.
In swimming, Dolly Akter clinched double gold medals as she became first in the 50m freestyle and 200m backstroke. Dolly finished the 50m distance clocking 30:70 seconds while crossing the 200m distance with a time of 2:57;02 minutes.
Shahajan Ali Rony bagged gold medal in 200m breaststroke clocking 2:34;20 minutes while Jewel Ahmed secured the 100m butterfly gold medal timing 1:00;41minutes.
Kazi Monirul Islam bagged gold medal in the 50m freestyle, clocking 25:55 seconds.
Sabrina Sultana brought the first gold in shooting as she became first in the three-position prone, according to a message received from the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA).
Bangladesh women football team conceded a 2-0 defeat to West Bengal.
Bangladesh raised their gold tally to 13 from four after the second day.
