Chanchal Chowdhury has been named the best actor, while Joya Ahsan and Reekita Nondine Shimu have become the best actresses in the National Film Awards 2022.
Kamrul Alam Khan Khasru and Rawshan Ara Rozina have been honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Two films, “Kura Pokkhir Shunne Ura” and “Poran”, have jointly won the Best Movie award as the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced the winners on Tuesday.

Chanchal won the award for his role in “Hawa”, while Joya and Shimu shared the award for their performances in “The Beauty Circus” and “Shimu”, respectively.
Rubaiyat Hossain won the Best Director award for her movie “Shimu”.
Kamrul Ahsan Lenin's film “Ghore Fera” was chosen as the Best Short Film, and the Best Documentary Film award went to “Bangabandhu and Dhaka University, produced by AJM Shafiul Alam Bhuiyan.

Every year, the National Film Awards recognise outstanding accomplishments in the film industry.
Each selected will be awarded a Medallion, a cash prize, and a certificate of merit.
The lifetime achievement award comes with a Tk 300,000 cash prize, while the best feature film producer and best film director each receive Tk 200,000. In all other cases, the award includes a cash prize of Tk 100,000.
