Bangladesh bowlers have restricted the hosts to 132 for 7 in the third match against Sri Lanka, boosting hope of a T20 series win against their Asian rivals.
Sri Lanka decided to bat first in the decider in Colombo after winning the toss. They got off to a quick start but lost their first wicket to Shoriful Islam in the opening over.
From the second over Mahedi Hasan wreaked havoc as he sent four toporder batters packing for only 11 runs. The spinner also got a wicket-maiden in the 11th over.
For the hosts, Pathum Nissanka kept them in the match after the toporder had collapsed. Losing his partners swiftly at the other end, Pathum dug deep and scored a fine 46 off 39 balls, including four boundaries.
In the latter stages of the innings, Dasun Shanaka scored a quickfire 35 out of 25 balls, taking the total to a 132/7.
Shoriful, Shamim Hossain, and Mustafizur Rahman chipped in with a wicket each.
