Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been given a warm reception at Ganabhaban on her arrival from New York after attending the UN General Assembly.

During the tour she received the UN environment prize and ITU award.
Author Syed Shamsul Haq greeted her with a bouquet of flowers when she got off the car at the Ganabhaban on Saturday afternoon.
Rabindra sangeet exponent Rezwana Choudhury Bannya led others to sing: ‘…Mohima Tabo Udvasito…’ (…Your glory is manifested across the vast firmament…).
“These awards are an honour for the nation and the credit should go to the people,” Hasina said.
Artist Hashem Khan, architect Iqbal Habib, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hassan, Everest conquerors Musa Ibrahim and Nishat Mazumdar, Bangladesh national cricket team captains Mashrafe Bin Mortaza and Mushfiqur Rahim, world's best cricket allrounder Shakib Al Hasan and fast bowler Taskin Ahmed, were present among others.
Earlier, on her way from the airport to the Ganabhaban, leaders and activists of her Awami League party flanked the road to greet her.
