They are HT Imam, Mashiur Rahman, Gowher Rizvi, Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury and Tarique Ahmed Siddique.

The Cabinet Division issued the orders on Monday, a week after the new council of ministers took oath, on the appointment of the advisers to the new government.

The advisers to the prime minister have the same status of minister and get the same salaries and allowances.

Their appointment has been effective since Jan 7, according to the orders.

Imam, a member of the Awami League’s Advisory Council who co-chaired the ruling party’s election committee, remains the political affairs adviser.

Mashiur will advise Hasina on economic affairs, Gowher on international affairs, and Tawfiq on power, energy and mineral resources while retired Major General Tarique on security.
