Eight Islami Chhatra Shibir activists have been nabbed by the police from a cave near the Mohsin College in Chittagong.

Police on Wednesday raided the Mohsin College hostel and the campus dominated by Islami Chhatra Shibir, looking for those involved in blockade violence but found no one.
Later, eight Shibir activists were found hiding in a 100-feet deep cave on the hills around the campus and arrested them, said Detective Branch Police’s Additional Deputy Commissioner Tanvir Arafat.
Islami Chhatra Shibir is the student affiliate of Jamaat-e-Islami.
Those detained are Nazmul Sakib, Jasim Uddin, Nasir Uddin, Mir Shahriar Shahadat, Md Ismail, Md Shamsuddin, Md Sarwar and Md Farhad. All are activists of Shibir, police say.
Detective Branch Assistant Commissioner Dipak Jyoti Khisha said they seized some books of war crimes convict Delwar Hossain Sayedee and documents of Articles of Association of the Jamaat-e-Islami.
Earlier, police raided two student hostels in Chittagong and arrested 72 Shibir activists, seizing arms and ammunition.
