A man has died of burns after a fire broke out at the Aman Plastic Factory in Narikel Bagh of Dhaka’s Keraniganj. The name and identity of the victim have yet to be confirmed.
Fire Service Headquarters spokesperson Talhia Bin Zasim confirmed the death on Monday afternoon.
He said that, initially, the victim has been identified as male.
The blaze was brought under control around 2pm after nearly two hours of effort by seven firefighting units, Talha said.
The Fire Service says the fire was reported around 12:25pm on Monday. Seven minutes later, firefighting units arrived at the scene and launched extinguishing operations.
