The body has eight deep wounds in the throat and four in other parts of his body, DMCH’s Forensic chief Habibuzzaman Chowdhury told reporters.
“He was repeatedly hacked to ensure he died. He died of slash wounds on his throat,” he said.
was similar to those employed on other murdered bloggers, added Chowdhury.
Autopsy reports of slain bloggers Avijit Roy, Ahmed Rajib Haider, Oyasiqur Rahman Babu and Ananta Bijoy Das also said that the attackers hacked them in the head, throat and shoulder.
Twenty seven-year-old Niloy was an activist of the Ganajagaran Mancha, the popular movement demanding maximum penalty for war crimes convicts and banning of religion-based politics.
He wrote against communalism and fundamentalism as Niloy Neel on social networking sites and used to blog under the same name.
