The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against former Dhaka City mayor Sadeque Hossain Khoka and seven others for irregularities in the allotment of space at a mall.

ACC director Mahbubul Alam filed the case with Shahbagh Police on Sunday.
"The case has been filed after investigating the allegations that the parking space of a shopping mall, Dhaka Trade Centre, had been illegally allotted to set up shops," he told bdnews24.com.
The other accused in the case are former chief estate officer of Dhaka City Corporation (North) Moshiyar Rahman, former estate officer Mohsin Uddin Morol and DCC employees Shahab Uddin Shabu, Mohammad Ali, Md Bachchu Miah, Faruq Hossain and Motaleb Hossain.
Khoka, a vice chairman of the BNP, served as the mayor of Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) from April, 2002 to November, 2011.
