Bangladesh stunned Pakistan with two quick goals in a minute to secure a 2-0 win to reach the final of the SAFF Under-17 Championship confidently.

In Thursday's first semi-final at the Race Course Ground in Colombo, Bangladesh emerged victorious after goals from Nazmul Huda Faysal and Opu Rahman.

Bangladesh made their move early, capitalising on a critical mistake by Pakistan’s goalkeeper Samar Razzaq in the third minute.

Opu latched onto Razzak’s faulty throw-in before an interception sent the ball to Faysal, who calmly finished into an open net.

Just moments later, Bangladesh doubled their lead as Opu bisected the defenders and fired a powerful shot past the Pakistan goalie.

With a solid lead, Bangladesh controlled the second half, and despite Pakistan’s efforts, the score remained unchanged.

Bangladesh now await the winner of the second semi-final between India and Nepal in the final.
