Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has held a meeting with Peter Holland, chief executive officer of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB).
The meeting took place on Monday at 10:30am at the Cabinet Division inside the Secretariat, according to the Prime Minister’s Press Wing.
State Minister for Health MA Muhit was present during the discussion.
The Press Wing said the discussions covered the development of Bangladesh's eye care services, blindness prevention, reducing visual impairment and enhancing mutual cooperation in the sector.
Peter has led the organisation's global efforts to combat blindness and vision loss since 2018.
