Another four people have died of dengue in the past 24 hours, while 1,558 patients have been hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease.
The daily admission figure is the highest recorded so far this year.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), dengue deaths this year have risen to 117. Twenty people have died in the first six days of September alone.
Among the latest patients, 193 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka North City Corporation and 148 in Dhaka South.
Another 316 were admitted to hospitals elsewhere in Dhaka Division.
The figures for other divisions were 137 in Barishal, 169 in Chattogram, 334 in Khulna, 84 in Mymensingh, 96 in Rangpur, 112 in Rajshahi and nine in Sylhet.
The DGHS has recorded dengue hospitalisations and deaths since 2000. In 2023, the disease sent a record 321,179 people to hospital, while 1,705 deaths were recorded, the highest in a single year.
Last year, more than 400 people died of dengue, while around 102,000 infections were reported.
