Bangladesh has reported another nine dengue deaths in a 24-hour count.
Another 1,902 patients were admitted to hospitals during the period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The latest deaths take the yearly toll to 271, according to official count.
From 8am Sunday to 8am Monday, 206 patients were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka North City Corporation and 223 in Dhaka South. Another 401 were admitted in hospitals elsewhere in Dhaka Division.
Among other divisions, 216 were admitted in Barishal, 272 in Chattogram, 306 in Khulna, 98 in Mymensingh, 105 in Rajshahi, 66 in Rangpur and nine in Sylhet.
Another 1,988 dengue patients were discharged over the past 24 hours.
A total of 88,360 people have been hospitalised with dengue this year, with 82,335 discharged.
September saw the highest monthly admissions, at 43,774, along with 148 deaths.
The health directorate has tracked dengue hospitalisations and deaths since 2000.
In 2023, the highest annual figures were recorded, with 321,179 admissions and 1,705 deaths.
Last year, more than 400 people died and around 102,000 cases were recorded.
