Rajuk ranks top in HSC results in country, again

Rajuk Uttara Model College has retained its top position among Bangladesh's best institutions in this year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations.

Also, six of the top 10 institutions are under the Dhaka education board.

The results of HSC and equivalent exams under eight education boards were published on Wednesday.

This year, the success rate has risen to 78.33 percent against last year's 74.30 percent, while a total of 70,602 students scored GPA 5.

Rajuk Uttara Model College scored the highest 98.04 points under the ranking system of the inter-education board standard - which is based on the students, pass rate, and GPA 5 score.

All of the 1,262 HSC examinees of this college passed except one. A total of 1,201 students bagged GPA 5.

Rangpur Cantonment Public School and College under the Dinajpur board came second in the list of best institutions with 96.23 points.

In total, 839 of 841 examinees of this institution cleared the HSC exams while 753 of them scored GPA 5.

In third position, Narsinghdi's Abul Quader Molla City College scored 95.88 points. All its 388 examinees bagged GPA 5.

Rajshahi College in the district's Boalia was adjudged the fourth best institution in the country with 95.18 points.

Of its total 589 students, only two have failed; while 510 of them secured GPA 5.

Dhaka's Adamjee Cantonment College is fifth on the list with 94.99 points.

Apart from them, Khilgaon National Ideal College secured the sixth place with 94.42 points, Viquarunnisa Noon College's Raman branch is seventh with 93.09 points and Dhaka's Notre Dame College and Demra's Shamsul Haque Khan School and College jointly bagged the eight position with 93.04 points.
Jalalabad Cantonment Public School and College came in ninth with 92.96 points and the tenth position went to Milestone College in Uttara with 92.62 points.
Parbatipur Adarsha College best in technical
Dinajpur's Parvatipur Adarsha Degree College has topped in the HSC and equivalent exams under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board ranking system.
It has scored 78.84 points this year, followed by Comilla's Abeda Nur Business Management Institute with 78.74 points.
Khulna's Rupsa Surjamukhi Women Technical and BM College secured the third place on the list with a score of 77.49 points.
Apart from them, Comilla's Faizul Rahman Memorial College of Technology ranked fourth (75.54 points), Rajparha Adarsha Women Technical and BM College is fifth (73.46 points), Chandpur's Hajiganj Model College sixth (73.05 points), Mirzapur's Alhaj Shafiuddin Miah and Ekabbor Hossain Technical College bagged seventh position (72.85 points) and Mymensingh's Dhanikhola Technical and Commerce College is in eighth position (72.04 points).
Demra's Bamoil High School and College ranked ninth with 70.82 points and Tangail's Basail Emdad Hamidia Degree College secured the 10th position with 70.80 points.
