SSC results to be published Aug 10

The results will be published simultaneously across Bangladesh

The results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will be published on Aug 10.

The announcement was made on Monday in a media statement signed by Prof Syed Akhtaruzzaman, chairman of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee.

The results will be published simultaneously across the country.

This year's SSC and equivalent exams began on Apr 21.

The SSC written exams ended on May 20, while the written tests for the Dakhil and SSC Vocational streams concluded on May 24.

The education boards have traditionally published SSC and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) results within two months of the completion of the written exams.

On that basis, Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon had earlier said results were planned for Jul 20, a target the boards failed to meet.

A total of 1,857,000 candidates filled out forms to sit this year's exams.

Of them, 1,418,398 registered for the SSC exam, 304,286 for Dakhil, and 134,660 for the SSC and Dakhil Vocational exams.
