Salahuddin, featured in six one-day internationals in 1997, died following a cardiac arrest in Khulna on Tuesday.
The former right-arm off-spinner, who was born in 1969 in Khulna, played first class cricket for Khulna Division from 2000-01 to 2006-07.
BCB in a media release has condoled the demise of Salahuddin and expressed its sympathy to the bereaved family.
One-minute silence was observed before the start of the first of the three-match one-day international series between Bangladesh and New Zealand as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
