Dhaka, July 26 (bdnews24.com): The High Court has sent a coaching centre teacher accused of violating a student to custody.
The teacher, Mishkat Hossain, of Asha Coaching Centre at Rampal of Bagerhat district appeared before the bench of justices Siddikur Rahman Miah and Naima Haider on Tuesday seeking ad-interim bail.
But the court dismissed his plea and sent him to custody.
The student's father filed a case with Rampal Police station on June 1 accusing Mishkat of violating her on May 25 at the centre.
Assistant attorney general Md Ali Jinnah told journalists: "The court ordered his arrest and to sent him to jail considering the incident and the situation."
Abdul Quddus Tarafdar stood for the accused in the court.
