At least three units of firefighters have brought the flames under control after half an hour of effort following a fire at the truck stand in Dhaka’s Tejgaon.
The Fire Service and Civil Defence was informed around 8am on Sunday that a fire broke out at a garage of the truck stand.
Initially, two units of firefighters went to the scene to douse the fire and another one joined them later.
The fire was brought under control around 8:30am, said Duty Officer Rafi Al Faruk.
It was completely put out at 9am.
A few trucks got burnt in the fire, according to the Fire Service.
