State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam has said the escalated road, rail and river connectivity between Bangladesh and India has deepened the ties between the neighbours.

He made the observation when newly appointed Indian High Commissioner Riva Ganguly Das made a curtsey call on him at the foreign ministry on Tuesday, said a press release.
Shahriar appreciated the ongoing efforts for increasing connectivity between the countries through rail links and waterways.
They also discussed the issue of electricity export-import, the foreign ministry said.
The state minister assured the Indian envoy of his full cooperation during her stay here.
