Rajshahi engineering students protest police attacks on Dhaka peers, RUET ‘completely shut’

Students say home advisor must apologise for the incident

Students of the Faculty of Engineering at Rajshahi University have staged demonstrations, blocking roads in protest against police attacks on BUET peers in Dhaka and to press their three-point demand.

They said, “The home advisor must apologise for this incident.”

One student complained, “The same advisors who once protested alongside us are now in the Secretariat. They’re not listening to our demands.”

In solidarity, students at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) observed a “complete shutdown” on Thursday.
