Chittagong’s Shah Amanat International Airport will also close down at 4.00pm, after which all flights will stand cancelled until further notice ,officials said.
These measures comes as ‘Mahasen’ is now hovering less than 800 kilometres off the Bangladesh’s coastline and advancing towards it.
Bangladesh Meteorological Department has already issued danger signal ‘7’ along the Chittagong-Cox's Bazar coast, including offshore islands and low-lying river islands (chars).
