Judge Shahed Nur Uddin of the Dhaka Speedy Trial Tribunal-1 pronounced the verdict on the murder on Sunday.
On Mar 13, 2012, ATM Khaliquzzaman Kushol hacked his elder brother, ATM Kamaluzzaman Kabir at their Sutrapur home.
The renowned film actor filed a case with the police against his son, who was arrested immediately after the murder.
Police pressed charges against Kushol on Jun 25, 2012. He was indicted in the case on Oct 31 the same year.
On Jan 30 last year, ATM Shamsuzzaman appeared before the court and described the murder of brother by brother.
"It was the most unfortunate incident my entire family has ever witnessed,” he said then.
Shamsuzzaman is an acclaimed antagonist and comedian in films and theatre.
