As govt reshuffles police superintendents ahead of polls, here's the new lineup

The post of Rajshahi’s police commissioner has also been changed

The interim government has reassigned the superintendents of police (SPs) in all 64 districts through a lottery system in a single day ahead of the 13th parliamentary election.

The lottery was conducted on Monday at the State Guest House Jamuna, the chief advisor's official residence. Based on the results, a government notice was issued on Tuesday, formally appointing the new SPs to every district.

In separate orders, Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mohammad Abu Sufian has been promoted to deputy inspector general (DIG) at the Police Headquarters. Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner (Traffic) Zillur Rahman has been named the new commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police.
