1 dead, 2 injured in hit-and-run accident on Dhaka’s Airport Road

A video on Facebook claims a black Toyota CHR car hit three people before rushing off

Police say one person has been killed and two others have been critically injured after they were hit by a car on Dhaka’s Airport Road.

The incident occurred in front of the Maasranga Television offices on Airport Road around 12:30am on Thursday, according to Assistant Sub Inspector Jaane Alam, duty officer at Banani Police Station.

The two who were injured were rushed to Kurmitola Hospital and then referred to the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR), also known as Pongu Hospital.

A Facebook user named Sifat Biswas posted a video on the group Carhub. In the video, he says that a black Toyota CHR car hit the victims before fleeing the scene.
