18-hour gas suspension scheduled for Savar, Ashulia industrial zones

Consumers in surrounding areas may also face low gas pressure

Gas supply has been scheduled to remain suspended for 18 hours across Savar, Ashulia, Hemayetpur, the tannery industrial estate and nearby areas for pipeline replacement work.

On Saturday, Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company said no customers of any category would receive gas from Sunday at 11pm through Monday at 5pm along both sides of the highway from Amin Bazar DRS to Nabinagar.

The affected areas include Boliarpur, Hemayetpur, Leather Industrial City, Singair Road, Fulbaria, Nabinagar, Savar municipal area, Savar Cantonment, Ashulia Bazar, Gouripur, Kumkumari, Rajashon, Kalma, and nearby localities.

Low gas pressure may also be felt in areas surrounding these zones during the period.

Titas expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience caused to customers.
