Prime Minister's Political Assistant Md Rashed Khan has paid tribute to bdnews24.com Editor-in-Chief Toufique Imrose Khalidi, remembering him as a warm and sincere person.
"I last met him at bdnews24.com's anniversary programme. Every time I met him, I found him to be extremely warm and sincere," Rashed said in a condolence message on Saturday.
Expressing his sorrow at Khalidi's death, he said: "This man has left us. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. I pray to Almighty Allah to grant him Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen."
Khalidi was on a private visit to London when he suddenly fell ill.
He was taken to St Bartholomew's Hospital on Thursday night after suffering a brain haemorrhage. Doctors pronounced him dead at 2:23pm local time on Friday.
