Israeli police clashed with Palestinian worshippers at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem's Old City on Friday, firing stun grenades to disperse worshippers who threw missiles at them, police said.

Dozens of officers entered the politically sensitive area, one of Islam's holiest sites, after several hundred protesters threw rocks and two firebombs at them following Friday prayers.
