Liverpool’s 22-year-old midfielder Tyler Morton has completed his move to French side Olympique Lyonnais.
Coach Paulo Fonseca’s side are paying £15 million ($19.9 million) to the Merseyside club for the services of England's under-21, BBC Sport reports.
Wirral native Morton, who joined Liverpool’s academy at the age of seven and debuted for the senior team in 2021, helped England’s U21 side win the European Championship this summer.
But the midfielder struggled for regular first-team action, appearing 14 times across all competitions and spending loan spells at Championship clubs Hull and Blackburn.
With the Reds spending over £250 million on new players ahead of the new season, the club is focusing on offloading players, including academy graduates, to comply with Premier League profit and sustainability rules.
Fellow academy player Jarrell Quansah was sold to Bayer Leverkusen for £35 million ($46.6 million) last month.
