Comilla, April 16 (BDNEWS) – Comilla district and sessions judge Md Shawkat Hossain stayed the sentence against engineer Manjurul Ahsan Munshi MP in a contempt of court case on Sunday.
The court sources said he was sentenced to six-month imprisonment on April 10 on charge of contempt of court along with the principal of the Mir Abdul Gafur Bhuiyan Degree College.
GP advocate Abdus Sattar, special PP Kaimul Haq Rinku and Khandaker Ahsanullah appeared for the lawmaker in the court and more than fifty advocates of Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum were present in the court to assist them.
