Pakistan High Commissioner Haider meets Jamaat-e-Islami chief Shafiqur

Pakistan's High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider has met with Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman.

The meeting took place at the Jamaat chief’s office in Bashundhara on Tuesday. The envoy was accompanied by the High Commission's Political Counsellor Kamran Dhangal.

After the meeting, Jamaat Nayeb-e-Ameer Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher said it was a courtesy call held in a "very cordial atmosphere".

“Discussions took place on a range of issues of mutual interest, and ways to further strengthen the bilateral relations.”
