Nomination papers collected on behalf of Khaleda, Tarique in Bogura

The nomination papers for the upcoming election have been collected from the returning officer

Nomination papers have been collected in Bogura on behalf of Bangladesh Nationalist Party chief Khaleda Zia and the party’s acting chief Tarique Rahman for the parliamentary polls scheduled for Feb 12.

Rezaul Karim Badsha, president of BNP’s Bogura district unit, said on Sunday that the nomination paper for Khaleda was collected from the Bogura-7 constituency, while the nomination paper for Tarique was obtained from the Bogura-6 constituency.

Former lawmaker Helaluzzaman Talukder Lalu collected Khaleda's nomination paper, while Badsha did so for Tarique.

“I have collected it as the coordinator of managing Khaleda Zia’s election in Bogura-7,” said Lalu.

Badsha said Tarique will contest the upcoming election from the Bogura Sadar constituency.
