People chanting 'Joy Bangla' or 'Sheikh Hasina will return' slogans were beaten and handed over to police in front of the Awami League’s central office on Bangabandhu Avenue in Dhaka’s Gulistan on Sunday, Nov 10, 2024. Several were also beaten on suspicion of being Awami League activists amid a street programme called by the ousted party to observe Shaheed Noor Hossain Day.
