A total of 79,246 students have been awarded scholarships after participating in the 2025 Primary Scholarship Examination. Among them, 32,965 students received Talent Pool Scholarships, while 46,281 students were awarded General Scholarships.
The results were officially announced at a press conference held on Sunday afternoon at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka.
The event was attended by Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj, Prime Minister’s Education Advisor Mahdi Amin, along with officials from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.
Speaking at the press conference, Director General of Primary Education Shahina Ferdousi said:
“A total of 79,246 Talent Pool and General Scholarships have been awarded under the 2025 Primary Scholarship Examination. Of the 32,965 Talent Pool scholarship recipients, 26,375 are from government schools and 6,590 are from non-government schools.
“Meanwhile, 46,281 students received General Scholarships, including 36,420 from government schools and 9,861 from non-government schools. Of the total scholarship recipients, 35,892 are boys (45.29 percent) and 43,354 are girls (54.71 percent).”
The director general added, “We believe that the 2025 Primary Scholarship Examination is not merely a process of assessing academic merit; it is also an important step toward preparing our future generation to become competitive and responsible citizens.”
