National Curriculum and Textbook Board Chairman Farhadul resigns

The Awami League government appointed Farhadul as the chief of the curriculum and textbook authority on Feb 14, 2022

Md Farhadul Islam, chairman of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) has resigned.

He confirmed his resignation to bdnews24.com, saying: “I have submitted my resignation to the education secretary yesterday.”

“Under the current circumstances in the country… I have resigned with dignity before my contract gets scrapped,” he said.

The Awami League government appointed Farhadul as the NCTB chairman on Feb 14, 2022.

He retired some time into his tenure and the government gave him a contractual appointment in two rounds.

His second contract for one year as the chairman was signed on Jul 28 this year.
