In the newly formed ad-hoc committee led by Tamim Iqbal, no one has been assigned to lead the Cricket Operations Committee -- historically one of the most vital panels within the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
The Media and Communications department has also been left without a head for the time being.
The BCB president noted that these appointments would be made in the near future.
For now, Tamim himself will oversee the Working Committee and the Facilities Management department.
Following his appointment by the National Sports Council, the committee held its inaugural meeting on Tuesday.
The second board meeting on Wednesday, however, saw the official finalisation of several committee chairs.
Speaking at a media briefing after the meeting, Tamim announced the names of those appointed and explained the rationale behind leaving Cricket Operations vacant.
"We are here to ensure a smooth and swift election process, and our 3-month tenure is quite short. Personally, I feel those currently working within Cricket Operations are performing their duties with great professionalism."
"This particular area is so sensitive that if I were to appoint someone or step in myself to provide input, there’s a risk of causing disruption,” he said.
“Therefore, we have collectively decided not to appoint anyone to Cricket Operations right now.
“If any issues or inquiries arise from that department, we will address them collectively as a board," he added.
Alongside Cricket Operations and Media, heads have yet to be appointed for the Medical, Audit, Security, High Performance, and Bangladesh Tigers committees, as well as the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis and the Physically Challenged Cricketers Committee.
