Bangladesh will play matches in all three formats in their tour of Sri Lanka in June and July, setting up a busy schedule for the Tigers in the coming days.
The Tigers will play two Tests, three ODIs, and as many T20s against the Islanders in five venues across four cities, according to an itinerary published by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on Monday.
It will be Bangladesh’s first trip to Sri Lanka for a complete series since 2017.
Bangladesh are scheduled to play two T20 matches in the United Arab Emirates and five more in Pakistan later this month.
The tour of Pakistan will conclude on Jun 3 and the Tigers are scheduled to return home to spend the Eid-ul-Azha holidays after that. They will then fly to Sri Lanka on Jun 13.
The first Test is slated to start on Jun 17 at the Galle International Cricket Stadium before Colombo’s SSC Cricket Ground hosts the second on Jun 25.
The first two day-night ODIs will then be held on Jul 2 and 5 at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo before the teams travel to Pallekele for the last 50-over encounter on Jul 8.
The T20 series will kick off on Jul 10 at the same ground. The second T20 match is scheduled for Jul 13 before Premadasa hosts the last game of the tour in Colombo on Jul 16.
Bangladesh played three ODIs in Sri Lanka in 2019 and two Tests in 2021. The men in red and green also travelled to Sri Lanka for the Asia Cup in 2023.
