DUCSU polls: Umama-Sadi panel pledges campus free of ‘partisanship, politicisation’

Their election manifesto includes accessible academic resources for disabled students and official holidays for indigenous festivals

The Independent Students Unity panel contesting the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) election has announced an 11-point manifesto, vowing to make the campus fren of “partisanship and politicisation”.

The panel also pledges to make all academic resources accessible for visually impaired and differently-abled students.

They have proposed including major indigenous cultural festivals in the university’s academic calendar as official holidays.

The manifesto was unveiled on Tuesday afternoon at a press conference held at Madhur Canteen on the Dhaka University campus.

Umama Fatema, the panel’s candidate for vice president (VP), announced the 11-point agenda.
