Stamford University Bangladesh has announced significant admission and tuition fee waivers for its two-year Master’s programme (preliminary and final) in Journalism and Media Studies for the Spring 2026 semester.
The Department of Journalism and Media Studies, which began its journey in 2005, currently runs two academic programmes: a four-year Bachelor of Social Sciences (BSS) Honours and the two-year Master’s programme.
The Master’s classes will be conducted both on campus on Saturdays and online, the university said in a statement on Saturday.
Graduates holding BA, BCom, BSc or Honours degrees in subjects other than journalism are eligible to apply for the programme.
At the recently concluded admission fair for Spring 2026, the university announced a 50 percent waiver on the admission fee and a 40 percent waiver on tuition fees.
After the waivers, the total cost of the programme has been reduced to Tk 1,58,580.
Under the revised payment structure, students will need to pay Tk 20,900 at the time of admission. The remaining Tk 1,37,680 can be paid in 24 monthly instalments of around Tk 5,737 each.
The offer will remain valid until Jan 15.
