Only six percent of examinees have qualified for admission at Dhaka University’s Science Unit, according to the 2024-25 academic session admission test results.

According to the results, which were published on Monday, Mahmudul Hasan Wasif, a student of Notre Dame College, secured the highest score in the Science Unit, earning 110 out of a possible 120 marks.

This time, a total of 120,488 students took the Science Unit examination, but only 7,437 managed to pass.

Of these, 6,922 from the Science stream, 393 students from the Humanities and 122 from the Business Education branches qualified.

Md Sajit Mia, a student of Narsingdi Government College, emerged as the top scorer in the Commerce stream, while Holy Cross College’s Tabassum Tithi secured the highest marks in Humanities.

The university has allocated 1,896 seats for the Science Unit this year, with 1,820 reserved for Science students, 51 for Humanities, and 25 for Business Education.

Initially scheduled for Feb 1, the Science Unit admission test was postponed to Feb 15 due to the Biswa Ijtema, the country’s largest Islamic congregation.

Students can access their detailed results on the university’s admission website (admission.eis.du.ac.bd) or by sending an SMS with the format DU SCI <roll no> to 16321 from Teletalk, Robi, Airtel, or Banglalink numbers.
