BRAC Bank launches Visa Cashback credit card for everyday spending

Cardholders can earn up to Tk 8,400 in annual cashback on transactions

BRAC Bank has launched the Visa Cashback credit card for customers across Bangladesh, offering cashback and instalment facilities on everyday spending.

The card was debuted on Feb 17 at the bank’s head office in the presence of senior officials from Visa and BRAC Bank.

Cardholders can earn up to Tk 8,400 in annual cashback on retail, grocery, healthcare and wallet-related transactions.

New primary cardholders will receive welcome vouchers from selected merchants, while a monthly cashback of up to Tk 300 will be available on POS, QR and e-commerce transactions during the first three months after issuance.

The card also offers 1 percent cashback on bKash wallet transfer processing fees and 10 percent monthly cashback on purchases at selected grocery and healthcare outlets.

For large purchases, users can convert transactions into instalments ranging from six to 24 months through the bank’s digital app Astha. An instalment facility of up to 36 months is available at more than 1,700 partner merchants.

Cardholders will earn reward points on transactions that can be redeemed against retail purchases or used to waive annual fees.

An optional Credit Shield Insurance facility is also available, providing hospitalisation coverage and protection against death, permanent disability and critical illness.
