The government has introduced a “one-stop service” at the “Vapour Heat Treatment” (VHT) facility maintained by the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) in Dhaka’s Gabtoli to help complete all agricultural product export processes in one place.

Inaugurating the service on Monday, Agriculture Minister Mohammed Amin Ur Rashid said exporters will be able to complete product treatment, packing and quarantine at the same place and send export items directly to the airport from Tuesday.

He said the government will set up an air-conditioned short-term storage facility at the airport to ensure the quality of perishable agricultural products, including mangoes, remains intact.
