An executive member of the Swadhinata Chikitshak Parishad (Swachip) Dr M Nazrul Islam told bdnews24.com that they had finalised the voter list on Saturday ahead of the Nov 13 council.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the council at Suhrawardi Uddan in Dhaka.

“Today EC (executive committee) meeting has finalised the list of voters. We now have 13, 223 members,” Dr Islam said.

“We axed 322 who were identified as pro BNP-Jamaat,” he said.

They identified them based on the recommendations of the divisional committees.

Doctors’ Association of Bangladesh (DAB) is the pro-BNP body while National Doctors’ Forum (NDF) is the pro-Jamaat-e-Islami doctors’ group.
