Dhaka, Sept 17 (bdnews24.com) – Mashfee Binte Shams, currently serving as Director General (South Asia) in the Foreign Ministry, has been appointed as the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal.
Shams belongs to the 9th batch of BCS (Foreign Affairs) Cadre and served in Bangladesh embassies in Rome, Bangkok and New Delhi in various capacities, says a media statement of the ministry.
Meanwhile, Imtiaz Ahmed, currently serving as Bangladesh Ambassador in Bhutan, has been named as the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Portugal.
Ahmed belongs to the 1984 batch of BCS (Foreign Affairs) Cadre and served as ambassador in Sweden and Nepal.
He also served in Bangladesh embassies in Rome, Cairo, Kuala Lampur and Washington D.C. in various capacities.
