Dhaka, Sept 11 (BDNEWS) – The government has appointed Major General Jamilud Din Ahsan, 'Bir Protik' as the Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya.
During his military career, Major General Ahsan held various higher command and instructional appointments.
He served as the Master General of Ordnance in the Army Headquarters before being appointed as the ambassador.
He actively participated in the war of liberation in 1971 and was decorated with operational gallantry award of 'Bir Protik' for his valour and courage.
