Joypurhat, July 12 (BDNEWS) – The death toll of Joypurhat bus-train accident Wednesday rose to 33 with 40 others injured near Akkelpur Women's College rail crossing in Joypurhat.
The tragic accident occurred Tuesday morning at about 10.00 am while Khulna-bound Rupsha Express rammed into a Joypurhat-bound passenger bus of Kheya Paribahan and drag it more than 100 yards.
A four-member committee was formed to probe the incident.
On the other hand, Awami League president and leader of the opposition in the Parliament Sheikh Hasina, in a condolence message, expressed her deep sock and grieving for the incident.
