Dhaka, Dec 5 (bdnews24.com) -- Arshad Hosein has been appointed to the Bangla-language daily Ittefaq as managing editor, Ittefaq Group of Publications said in a statement Wednesday.
Arshad is a grandson of Ittefaq founder Tofazzal Hosein Manik Mia and son of law and information adviser Barrister Mainul Hosein.
"He (Arshad) has been playing an important role in modernising the media industry in Bangladesh," the statement said.
Arshad's guidelines were pivotal in upgrading feature pages such as Ei Nagori, Annando Binodon, Karcha, Tarun Kantha, Tathya Projukti, Telecom, Corporate and Krirangan.
