Dhaka, Jan 5 (BDNEWS) – The High Court Thursday granted bail to Farazi Azmal Hossain, senior reporter of the daily Ittefaq, in the Runner-editor Saiful Alam Mukul murder case in Jessore.
After hearing a petition filed by Farazi Azmal Hossain, a division bench of the High Court comprising Justice MA Rashid and Justice ATM Fazle Kabir, also issued rule upon the government to show cause as to why the petitioner should not be granted regular bail in the case.
Saiful Alam Mukul, editor of the Runner, a local daily of Jessore, was killed on August 30, 1998.
Barrister M Amir-ul Islam moved the petition before the court.
